The silence is gone.

Did she leave me behind?

Never to return.

Was I crude and unkind?

When I mocked those who sought,

a tranquil abode.

I said look inside,

Repent and unload.

Now I look within,

I’m a deafening sound.

An empty reflection,

Echoing around.

The silence is gone.

She has left me behind.

I hope she returns,

And lets me unwind.

But then I think again,

Why must I hold back?

We can reunite,

I must find the right track.

And so I chase dust,

Of those who lead.

Bargaining their right,

To what we all need.

An endless run,

Directions are no good.

Whatever seemed fruitful?

Is nothing but deadwood?

Must I ever judge?

Those showing the way,

Am I right?

Or the noises are at play?

So I walk alone,

While memories fade.

And then I remember,

The lies I had made.

What do I want?

I do not know anymore.

I’ve forgotten her love,

Reduced it to a cure.

And now I am thinking

Was it I who had left?

And silence waits,

Feeling bereft.

Such doubts are enough,

The clatter subsides.

The loss of love,

No longer divides.

Once beyond reach,

She is with me now.

For I have returned,

And I do know how.
