PARASITE - by Devesh Bhatt

You can always walk out,

There's no leash, no chain.

While i give you bread,

Just ignore your pain.

For i have nothing else,

That i can give.

But an easy life,

Cause i let you live.

You want to see it all,

With your own eyes.

There is nothing to learn,

But how a dream dies.

I know you cry,

These silent nights.

But you don't know how,

This rabid world bites.

I hope you see the joy,

Of being with me,

And do as i say.

It will set you free.

I've tried my best,

You know, it works.

You are luckier than I,

With all these perks.

You can still walk out,

There is no leash, no chain.

Till then, have some bread,

And Ignore the pain.

and yes. Monsoon is a much loved season for poets Sweta Parmar. I am not sure if rains are so welcome in Bengal debasish majumder but artists do get really inspired by it and Bengal has produced countless people who inspire.

maybe it is dry Indian summer which reveals the troubles around. I am not really a dark poet. Thanks for the read.

Awesome !!! Guess lately I'm more inclined to read these somehow darker poetry... Living the un-reality (and pretending to love it) is tiring enough... good to read a far from fiction truth for a change... Bravo !!!

i think in varied contexts, a majority of us do it. Those who know it to be a compromise can muster strength to pull out, those who are compelled or convinced lose many years. Thank you. Its also for the quick shares across bebee and twitter :)

I reiterate a comment I made on a previous post of yours, Devesh. There are many who put their hand to writing verse, But who should really stow it. For they have little chance to be like you, A truly genuine poet. Cheers!
