The cold,
Does hold,
A flood inside.
Her love,
May drown,
Yet she ignites.
The warmth,
Does melt,
Her saviour's pride.
This love,
May hurt,
Yet she invites.
A man,
Of faith,
More than romance.
He sees,
Her as,
A godsent chance.
He tries,
His best,
To do both right.
He can't,
Undo,
His saviour's plight.
She sees,
His ways,
Tells him, let go.
He leaves,
A monk,
With all her glow.
She bears,
The loss,
None to confide.
The cold,
Does hold,
A flood inside.
