THE UNIVERSE and I - by Devesh Bhatt

It is obvious, I'm not the Universe, unless I assume to be,

Maybe the universe had made a wish, assumed itself as me.

Am I a thought that's taking shape as a dream imagined free?

Or am i a vessel of an experience of self discovery?

True, the assumption here is that I am not a pawn,

True, some assume to give in and that's how their life moves on.

Through life and times, each assumption is meant to liberate.

Why surrender, to ideas, that we ourselves create?

If i am an idea of the universe, Why would it surrender to me?

At best i can hope that the Universe, tries to seek some clarity.

If i am a vessel of some kind, an experiment at best.

Then fate is a probable outcome that freedom must contest.

If choices are of no consequence, in a universal destiny.

My life can have some irrelevance, i choose to be free.

Such a thought provoking piece Devesh \ud83d\udc1d Bhatt. I often contemplate on the importance/unimportance of my being in this huge universe. The void and becoming one with it someday. You shared a fresh and wonderful perspective. Especially the bit about being a vessel of an experience of self discovery. :)
