Traveling on Golden Triangle Package
This is one of the most popular tourist destination in India. The travel covers Indian and Mughal architectures throughout the journey and ends up at Ranthambore National Park for a wild odessey. The itinerary takes you first to monuments in New and Old Delhi the capital of India. Here you spend at least two days if you wish to see many monuments especially those present in the oler part of the Metro. The trip will take you to Red Fort the seat of Mughal invaders and then to Qutub Minar one of the tallest ancient Minaret in the country.
Other places of interest are the Humayuns tomb another Mughal and then to Chandni Chowk the market that typefies Indian baazar. Here you can pruchase some Indian specialities especially from the large collection of spices. Another special offering of this place is the Paratha Gully where you can savour fried pancakes filled with various vegetarian and meat mixes. These eateries are the main attraction of the baazar that is the Chandi Chowk. Another fun you can have is a ride on handpulled riksha or tricycle.
The trip will also include a visit to monuments in New Delhi like the Lotus Temple, Swami Narayan Temple, Raj Ghat the resting place of Mahatama Gandhi and the Lodhi Gardens.
The Lutyen's Delhi is a show case of British Architecture named after its creator Edwin Lutyens these are relativly morden marvels and will delight you no end.
New Delhi is a window to India and offers experience of Indian culture, religious ethos and social mores to the new comer. It is one of the best places to experience the diverse Indian cuisine and for that there are thousands of restaurants. The modern facade is an antithesis of the ancient in Old Delhi.
Next would be a visit to Agra starting from Akbar's Tomb at Sikandara followed by visit to the Taj Mahal a muasoleum built in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal the Mughal ruler Shah Jehan's wife. The building made of marble is one of the most attractive edifices of India, it is an impressive architecture and labeled as one of the eight wonder of the World. The next visit is the Fatehpur Sikri built by Akbar. Fatehpur was a city built on whims of Akbar to commemorate his victory over Gujarat in Western India and the birth of his son Salim. It was later completely abondoned.
Jaipur the capital of Indian State Rajasthan is next on the itinerary also known as the pink city, it is the hub of cultural activity and home to a colorful populace. Jaipur is the destination where major edifices pertaining to Indian architecture reside. These where built by the Maharajahs of Jaipur and of them two are declared as UNESACO Heritage Sights namely the Amer Fort and Jantar Mantar and obervatory built during the ancient times.
The city of Palaces and Kothis the houses of the noblemen among them Hawa Mahal Palaces is a legendary among the assemblage of royal edifices. It is pink palace with honey combed window on the facaded and feature that has made it famous worldwide. The palace is placed on the edge of City Palace and is an extended womens wing. It is made of red and pink sanstone and dazzles like a precious gem. The other places of interest are the City Palace, Birla Temple, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh and and Shri Devji Temple. There are plenty of monuments that the visitors can go for sightseeing during their stay in the magnificent pink city.
Marwari food is an essentail component of delight for the tourists and comprises of many landmark dishes like bati, churma, lal gosht, gatte ki saabji and Mawa Kachori to name a few. Those with generous apetite should try this food during their stay with gusto.
The next stop or rather an extension is the Ranthambore National Park sitauted at a distance of 170 km via Sawai Madhopur City. Ranthambore is a tiger reserve and a National Park with high density of big cats. The destination is home to many wonderful animals and birds. It is home to the marsh crocodile besides many other reptiles.
After days of sightseeing in this Golden Triangle With Ranthambore a change is needed. The visit to the forests should be change you have been looking for. The monuments though will not leave you here as well for during the exciting safaris you will see the fort, palace and temples built by the erstwhile rulers of Jaipur. Some of the monuments have been turned into hotels and resorts at Ranthambore. Well after the long tour refresh yourself with the sight of the majestic tiger and other enchanting animals of the park.
