Why is it?

That an experience which makes one all aware,

Can cage other people in ignorance & despair.


Why is it?

That an idea which inspires one to have an open mind,

Can spread enough darkness for all to go blind.


Why is it?

That an act which leads one to a great discovery,

Can scar a civilization beyond recovery.


Why is it?

That a feeling which fills one totally with love,

Can push the world into war with a shove.


Why is it?

That pure intent which makes one see dreams,

Can make all part of exploiting schemes.


Why is it?

That a strong will which changes one's sorry fate,

Can quash all freedoms earned till date.


I hope I don't find out such answers as one,

And the answers are as evident as the rising sun.

thank you for the wise advice. i just hope not to find the answer as one. now i realise that it can put everyone in trouble. so i will let it lie :) as far as simple is concerned, you are simple and fun and i am boringly complicated :(
