When you
change your story
you change
your life!

While in the sickbed in the year 2012 recuperating from a deadly dengue(I had a close shave), I took a quick decision in a very strange (**and complex) circumstances! to become a consultant by starting on my own in my areas of operation.

Looking back it was not just an emotional decision.

It was a calculated risk that I took to balance my life which was totally different! prior to this episode due to the nature and type of my work.The time spent then in the hospital bed with my son gave a lot of time to introspect on the life.

{**With a platelet count alarmingly low at 5000 it was a critical situation for me.To make it even worse my son was also down with the same problem. We both were on Intravenous fluids.Platelets were being administered into the body in my case to increase the count.}

Ruminating on the various aspects that has taken place in my life,It was a mixed feeling on that sick bed with my son also around in the same condition.While I have had reasonable success ; I have also had a ***roller-coaster ride! Earlier re-locations meant working in different geographical regions that brought in new challenges and surprises.So while I once again  had this tempting opportunity to move up the ladder with a relocation*(You may like to read the article: "Interested In Relocating"?,Link given at the end) again during that period of illness! , I opted to start BVPRGJ CONSULTANTS.

More over my son has been doing well in his school, and at that time I was equally worried about the disturbances a change of location would have resulted even for him. Moreover, my better half was sort of getting stabilized in her career with the SAP modules she has been handling for a very reputed construction company as a managerial staff in the ERP services & process management and she enjoyed what she has been doing, making it more difficult for me in terms of a possible relocation:)))... So I took the decision not to move away from Bangalore and ****BVPRGJ CONSULTANTS was born!

More than anything else I found this challenge a learning experience.

 Sometimes you have to get into a Different Path to move ahead in life when stuck & then  take it forward by accepting the challenges thrown on your way gracefully!....Thank you for reading!...Would you also like to share your story of a change in life that came unexpectedly?Please let us know. Well, as I packing my stuff to move from the city I'd been living for the past 3-4 years, I followed my mentor's advice and applied for some gig for a project at the local university (which is actually a pretty good university known to people outside the city too). Getting hold of the person who was collecting the applications was a pain, as she was a member of some Slack group I wasn't part of. Still, I joined the group, tracked her down, and send her my application. Then, she came back to me and said that I should email it to some other person at the university. Thinking that I was spending way too much time on this, I decided to do it nevertheless. After all, I had spend a couple of hours preparing my resume and cover letter, so what's an hour more? I interviewed for that gig on the phone and the following week in person. Then I forgot about it as I had to move. I was halfway around the world, when I heard from them. A couple of days later I had a contract and before long, a signed contract. Of course, this was just a gig, but it meant a lot to me. As a couple of weeks later I found myself in a new country where I could hardly speak the language (not many people know English here!), this gig is what kept me on a healthy rhythm and a very productive mood. So, in a way, it was life changing and quite unexpected.
