Our journey
We raised $2 mn at an idea stage in December 2019 from Sequoia Capital's Surge program, and marquee investors like Naveen Tewari (InMobi Group), Kunal Shah (CRED), Shradha Sharma (YourStory), and many more.
- 270+ investments made; portfolio companies include loved brands like Bewakoof, Third Wave Coffee, The Man Company, 9stacks, Mamagoto, and Eat.
- Raised $20 mn in August 2021 from GMO (Japan), Alter Global (USA), and others
- Launched a $25 mn fund in December 2021
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of cases of nontimely repayment by brands, in order to recover capital invested by our patrons or fund.
- Keep external stakeholders like the debenture trustee and Klub patrons informed about progress in the repayments process
- Undertake all necessary measures required to recover capital, including (but not limited to) negotiations with the brand, legal measures, etc.
- Document all communication and processes in these instances, and drive to early closure and clarity.
Must Have:
- 24 years of work experience in the lending industry, with some experience in dealing with cases of nonrepayment by borrowers
- Exposure to the collections industry and its various actors, including collections agencies, relevant legal firms, etc.
- Ability to negotiate with many external stakeholders firmly but professionally
- High attention to detail and ability to set up processes and checks that ensure that any errors are detected well before they become critical
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to find innovative solutions to persistent problems
- Affinity for hardworking team environments and working with multiple teams
