Description

Ø Assists physicians in managing cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmia's in an invasive procedure arena, specializing in the care of patients undergoing: Basic diagnostic catheterisation procedures on adult patients with known and suspected congenital and acquired cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.

Ø Basic interventional procedures which may include any of the following: PTCA, stent prep and placement, IABP placement and operation.

Ø Operation of the physiologic and radiographic equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Ø Patient transportation, good communication and evaluation of patient status during the procedure, provide specific care, prep access site according to lab standard practice, and perform ECG, blood pressure and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring.

Ø Observe occupational and radiation safety regulations (wearing badges, lead aprons, goggles, gloves)

Ø Maintain sterile procedure, infectious control, observe all fluid patency of catheters, balloons and manifolds, and assist according to physician direction
Indent, maintain, store and accounting of narcotic drugs in the lab

Ø Maintain inventory of consumables, drugs, stents and balloons

Ø Coordination of CSSD processes

Ø Calibration, maintenance and complaint handling of Bio medical Equipments.

Ø Maintain cleaning, disinfection and fogging of Cath lab as per guidelines.

Ø Ensure smooth running of the Cath lab.

Ø Responsible for training of new joiners and provide support to the team.

Ø Report any untoward incidents.
