Position:
Hostel Warden

-
Residential Facility Management:


  • Oversee all aspects of the hostel facility, including accommodations, common areas, dining facilities, recreational spaces, and safety and security measures.
  • Ensure that the hostel premises are clean, wellmaintained, and conducive to a safe and comfortable living environment for students.

Student Supervision and Support:


  • Supervise and monitor the activities, behavior, and wellbeing of students residing in the hostel, including their adherence to hostel rules, curfew hours, and code of conduct.
  • Provide guidance, counseling, and support to students on personal, academic, and social issues, and refer them to appropriate resources or services as needed.

Safety and Security:


  • Implement and enforce safety and security protocols to ensure the physical and emotional safety of students in the hostel.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises, enforce safety rules and procedures, and respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, or incidents involving students.

Discipline and Conflict Resolution:


  • Enforce hostel rules, policies, and disciplinary measures consistently and fairly, addressing misconduct, rule violations, and conflicts among students.
  • Mediate conflicts, disputes, or behavioral issues among students, and facilitate conflict resolution strategies and restorative justice practices when necessary.

Health and Wellness:


  • Monitor and promote the health and wellness of students in the hostel, including their dietary needs, hygiene practices, and access to medical care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, counselors, and support staff to address students' physical and mental health needs and provide appropriate interventions and support services.

Community Building:


  • Foster a sense of community and belonging among students residing in the hostel, organizing social, cultural, and recreational activities that promote camaraderie, friendship, and mutual respect.
  • Facilitate opportunities for students to engage in group activities, teambuilding exercises, and community service projects that enhance their personal and interpersonal skills.

Parent and Guardian Communication:


  • Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians of hostel residents, providing updates on their child's wellbeing, academic progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Address parental inquiries, requests, or feedback in a timely and professional manner, and collaborate with parents to support their child's residential experience.

Staff Supervision and Training:


  • Supervise and support hostel staff, including resident assistants, housekeeping staff, security personnel, and maintenance workers, ensuring that they fulfill their duties effectively and professionally.
  • Provide training, guidance, and professional development opportunities to hostel staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance in their respective roles.

Administrative Duties:


  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hostel occupancy, student registrations, room assignments, visitor logs, incident reports, and disciplinary actions.
  • Prepare and manage the hostel budget, including expenses for utilities, maintenance, supplies, and other operational costs, and ensure financial accountability and transparency.

Crisis Management and Emergency Response:

  • Develop and implement crisis management plans and protocols to address emergencies, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events that may impact hostel operations or student safety.
  • Coordinate with school administration, local authorities, and emergency services to ensure timely and effective response and support during crisis situations.

Professional Development and Compliance:


  • Stay informed about best practices, legal requirements, and industry standards related to hostel management, student housing, and student affairs.
  • Participate in professional development activities, workshops, conferences, and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in hostel administration, student support services, and campus safety.

Pay:
From ₹25,000.00 per month
