  • Preoperative Assessment:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients medical history, eye health, and visual acuity.
  • Explain the preoperative preparations required, such as fasting, medication adjustments, and necessary tests.
  • Provide information about potential risks, complications, and the expected outcomes of the surgery.
Emotiffer emotional support to patients and their families, understanding the impact a cataract diagnosis can have on their well-being.

  • Address their fears, anxieties, or any misconceptions they may have about the surgery or the recovery process.
  • Empathize with patients concerns and provide reassurance throughout their treatment journey.
  • Treatment Planning:
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Assist in scheduling surgeries, coordinating preoperative and postoperative appointments, and ensuring a smooth transition through the entire treatment process.

Postoperative Care and Follow-up:

  • Educate patients about postoperative care instructions, including the use of prescribed medications, eye protection, and restrictions on physical activities.
  • Monitor patients progress after surgery and address any concerns or complications they may experience.
  • Schedule and conduct followup appointments to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and address any ongoing issues.
  • Documentation and Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate and up

  • date records of patient consultations, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure proper billing, insurance claims, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:


  • Qualification
  • Any Degree, Preference to Optometrist/ MSW
Experience - 1 to 3


Skill:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, their families, and medical professionals.
  • Empathy, compassion, and the ability to provide emotional support to patients during challenging times.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and related treatments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for documentation and data management.
