Project title:
Design Optimization of Turbine Nozzle Guide Vane Three-Dimensional Airfoils

Description of the work:

You will have to carry out CFD simulations for different designs of a turbine stage (of an aircraft engine) with commercial CFD software such as ANSYS CFX.

To this end, you will have to perform 3D CAD design of the turbine blades, grid generation, CFD simulations and post-processing of the results.

The CFD results would be used for obtaining an optimal turbine stator vane design that minimizes aerodynamic losses. You will be working in collaboration with the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), DRDO. The research results would be used for the design of advanced combat aircraft engine turbines.

The JRF will be encouraged to register for a Ph.
D. degree in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department of Ecole Centrale School of Engineering, Mahindra University, Hyderabad.
