Description

Reporting Manager:
Senior Manager, Training & Impact team

Project Team Size: 3-4

Your support is critical to Teach For India, both strategically and operationally.

Your key project will be to work very closely with the Training and Impact team and all our cities to create the database of our Student Alumni and conduct a needs assessment.

Through the process, you will connect with the Student Alumni POCs from some of our cities, current and previous Fellows who taught the Students, and most importantly, our Students themselves.

The main objective is to understand where our Students currently are, learn about their needs, and identify opportunities to support them.

Based on their needs and our capabilities, you will need to build on the Students Alumni engagement strategy to meet the vision of our wing.

Team Overview:

After more than a decade of intervention across our schools in 7 cities, Teach for India has over 10,000 Student Alumni who have graduated from their 10th grade.

In the last decade, our focus was on ensuring that our children graduate successfully from school as it would increase their access to opportunities.

In the last few years, we have come to understand that merely graduating from school is not enough to alter the life trajectory of our Students.

We need to know who our Students are and we need to support them to thrive in college and secure jobs and opportunities to lead themselves, others around them and bring about change.

Therefore, we would like to coordinate efforts across the regions to consolidate our learning of our Students' needs and create an ecosystem of support for them.

In the short term, we will be focusing on creating a robust Student Alumni database and in parallel, designing a long-term Student Alumni Strategy that provides the required support for our Students to thrive post their 10th grade.

Currently, the Senior Director of Regions, along with members of the Strategy and Impact and Training and Impact teams are working on the Student Alumni project.
