What the Position is Expected to Do
- Building a client base: This includes prospecting for new clients, networking, and building relationships with potential clients. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
- Assessing client needs: This includes conducting interviews and gathering information about the client's assets, liabilities, and insurance history. Identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
- Presenting insurance options: Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns. This includes explaining the different types of insurance available, the coverage options, and the costs associated with each policy. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
- Handling client inquiries and concerns: This includes answering questions about coverage, addressing client concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Upselling and crossselling: This includes identifying opportunities to sell additional coverage or policies to existing clients.
- Staying up to date with industry developments: This includes staying informed about changes in the insurance industry, such as new products and regulations, and incorporating this knowledge into their sales pitch.
- Meeting sales targets and goals: This includes working towards achieving the sales targets and goals set by the company. Create reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
- Handle customer feedback and grievances to ensure customer delight. Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal team for necessary escalation wherever necessary.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Maintain and upkeep of professional and technical knowledge to remain relevant in the market.
Exposure You Should Have
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role preferably in the financial services / Insurance industry.
- Indepth understanding of business context.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Strong presentation skills.
- Preferably from Agency and Distribution channel.
