Overview:

Role Purpose

  • As a trained Scrum Master, you are responsible for facilitating a Scrum team and are accountable for removing impediments of the team to achieve the sprint goals/deliverables. You are responsible to ensure that the Scrum process is used as intended. A key part of your role is to protect the development team, allow the teams to be self managed, foster collaboration across teams and keep them focused on the tasks at hand._

Do
- _Is accountable for meeting Sprint objectives along with scrum team_
- _Ensure meeting of sprint commitment_
- _Own and help resolve impediments of the team_
- _Help PO adopt Scrum Process properly and ensure PO availability _
- _Support the PO in maintaining the Product Backlog, defining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria_
- _Facilitate estimation, backlog refinement and all planning ceremonies_
- _Ensure that DOR, DOD, Acceptance criteria is available and adhered to_
- _Ensure MoSCoW adherence of Sprint Backlog at the Sprint level _
- _Accountable for the correct implementation of the Agile Process _
- _Protect the team from external interference._
- _Facilitate technical assistance to the team and enables clear communication amongst the team members_
- _Participate in Scrum of Scrum across teams and highlights impediments _
- _Provide feedback on the team members performance to the Agile Line manager and Agile Program Leader_
- _Facilitate all the Scrum Ceremonies (Planning, Daily Standup, Grooming, Demo, restrospection) and ensure correct adoption _
- _Ensure updating of all Scrum artifacts_
- _Ensure ALM tool (either client or Wipro) is updated on a daily basis_
- _Update key Scrum metrics into Wipro internal tool on a Sprint
- by
  • Sprint basis_
- _Analyse key Scrum metrics and take corrective actions_
- _Create competency improvement and cross-skilling plan for the team (by the start of the project). Review monthly and ensure improvement in competency score. Ensure multiskilling for at least 50% of the team._
- _Help team attain stable velocity within 6-8 sprints (allowing for 10% variation either way)_
- _Train team on the proper adoption of Agile processes (Scrum / XP / Kanban)_
- _Help in adoption of engineering practices like ATDD, TDD, CI, CD, Refactoring_
- _Record and own the restrospection actions_
- _Participate in community of practice initiatives_
- _Provide inputs to the Line manager for internal quality forums (QIC / APR / QBR / MBR etc.)\"_
