Qualification & Experience for Blood Bank Officer

i. Degree in Medicine(MBBS) having experience of working in a licensed Blood Centre, not less than one year during regular service and has adequate knowledge and experience in blood serology, blood group methodology and medical principles involved in procurement of blood and/or preparation of its components, or

ii. Degree in Medicine(MBBS) with Diploma in Clinical Pathology or Diploma in Pathology & Bacteriology with six months experience of working in a licensed Blood Centre, or

iii. Degree in Medicine(MBBS) with Diploma in Transfusion Medicine or Diploma in Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion with three months experience of working in a licensed Blood Centre, or

iv. MD Pathology or DNB Pathology with three months experience of working in a licensed Blood Centre, or

v. Post Graduate Degree in Transfusion Medicine-MD Transfusion Medicine, MD Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion, DNB Transfusion Medicine/IHBT

Job Description of Blood Centre Officer

  • Performs routine Donor Evaluation and monitoring, including physical examination
and phlebotomy site evaluation.

  • To attend Blood donation camp
  • Evaluating and Management of adverse donor reaction
  • To supervise Blood Centre procedures (BGCM, DCT,ICT, Serology testing ,
component preparation)

  • To check blood stock and expiry of blood product
  • To supervise Inventory Management of Blood Centre.
  • Reviewing QC records with Quality Manager
  • To sign relevant document of Blood Centre.
  • To handle FDA, CDSCO, MDACS inspections.
  • Training of different levels of Staff
  • To Consult attending Physician and Resident staff as necessary.
  • Conducting Hospital Transfusion Committee meeting
  • To review work up of Transfusion reactions reported to the Blood Centre and
Reporting to National Hemovigilance Programme of India


Salary:
₹900, ₹1,200,000.00 per month
