Position Overview:


You'll make a difference by:


  • Form 1042 Monitoring:
  • Review and validate withholding tax documentation provided by suppliers in accordance with IRS guidelines.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to obtain missing or incomplete information from suppliers to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of withholding tax documentation and transactions.
  • Form 1099 Reporting:
  • Oversee the gathering and verification of relevant vendor information to complete Form 1099 reporting accurately.
  • Ensure that all reportable payments made to US suppliers are appropriately classified and documented.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies in vendor information and payments.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Stay up to date with changes in US tax regulations related to Forms 1042 and 1099, ensuring the company's processes remain compliant.
  • Prepare and submit tax reports to the appropriate tax authorities within designated deadlines.
  • Assist with responding to taxrelated inquiries and audits from tax authorities, as required.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams such as finance, accounting, legal, and procurement to address taxrelated issues promptly.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on tax compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax monitoring and reporting.
  • Implement best practices and automation tools where applicable to streamline taxrelated processes.

Your success is grounded in:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. ( CA or Inter preferred)
  • Relevant experience in US tax compliance and reporting, with Form 1042 and Form 1099 would be added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of US tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements for US suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using tax reporting software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines without compromising accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and resultsoriented approach.
