As a project coordinator in our cement capital system engineering department, you will be responsible for the design of products, new product development, and execution of projects.

Your role plays a vital part in the successful execution of projects.

You will be part of a team of Designers, Engineers, and Specialists dedicated to product design and project execution.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop Specifications and mechanical design of equipment used in a cement plant to produce cement clinker, including comprehensive calculations and documentation.
  • Ensure the timely release of deliverables that meet defined quality standards while adhering to contractual and projectspecific requirements within the specified time frame.
  • Collaborate with the Specialist Team to define requirements for new design products.
  • Provide technical assistance to colleagues, suppliers, and plant sites worldwide, promptly engaging in technical discussions with clients.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Global Chief Engineer.
  • Design and provide support for cuttingedge cement plant equipment, and prepare necessary documentation such as risk assessments, drawings, specifications, instructions, and design manuals.
  • Design, and prepare necessary calculations for equipment and machinery parts.
  • Prepare/Update design manuals for project use.
  • Create technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks.
  • Maintain a commitment to delivering the highest quality standards, even when faced with challenging deadlines that require persistence to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Provide support to sales, procurement, project management, installation, and commissioning teams.
  • Travels to sites and regional offices as needed to assist with equipment problems, installations, and sales efforts.
  • Assists operations in resolving manufacturing issues and implementing costeffective sourcing initiatives.
What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E. or B. Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in product design and project execution
  • Record of successfully executing projects from Design to Installation in a cement industry or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment fabrication
  • Handson troubleshooting experience at job sites.
  • Exposure to the cement and or minerals industry with knowledge in areas such as Milling, Grinding, Process, Pyro, etc., would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D Modelling with demonstrated experience.
  • Familiarity with PDM systems would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
