Data Modeler (Sr. Data Engineer)

Summary
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Data Modeler to join our team. Our vision is to empower Genesys to leverage data to drive better customer and business outcomes. Responsibilities:

Work in an agile development environment, constantly shipping and iterating.
Conduct indepth business data analysis to design conceptual, logical and physical data models that support diverse data products aligned with the Data Mesh design principal.
Partner with business and technical teams to provide practical, resilient and adaptable data designs that meet current and future business needs.
Collaborate with various teams, architects, team leaders and members to facilitate the design and maintenance of data products and models.
Drive the implementation of standard modeling best practices
Document data flows, data exchanges, system interconnections and interfaces, ensuring alignment with enterprise data model
Maintain and update Data Design Documentation
Participate in data governance processes related to data quality and information management
Identify and recommend potential system improvements for existing processes and data flows
Triage many possible courses of action in a highambiguity environment, making use of both quantitative analysis and business judgment.

Your experience should include

Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in data modeling, data development, and data warehousing.
Delivery of physical data designs from logical models to physical models, including DDL scripts.
Experience curating Data Lake "Layers" (Bronze/Silver/Gold, Raw/Conformed/Curated, etc.)
Understanding of the Data Mesh design principals
Experience with data modeling tools (Erwin, SAP Power Designer)
Experience gathering data requirements and conducting analysis sessions with business and technical teams for data requirements analysis and solutions recommendation
Understanding of database technologies including NoSQL and SQL.
Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment where continuous innovation is occurring, and ambiguity is the norm.

You might also have

Experience with AWS big data technologies
S3, EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, Glue
Experience with Big Data technologies and largescale data processing systems (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Kinesis).
