Job Summary:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in the manufacturing process of medical devices.

Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, identify root causes of problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulatory requirements governing electrical work in a manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant standards.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment manuals. Update documentation as necessary to reflect changes and repairs.

Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, including production, engineering, and maintenance teams, to address electrical issues and support production schedules.

New Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems, including wiring, circuitry, and control panels.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, to minimize disruptions to production and ensure employee safety.

Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to other maintenance staff and operators on electrical systems, procedures, and safety protocols.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in electrical maintenance practices. Implement changes and enhancements to optimize equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Technical certification or apprenticeship in electrical work preferred.
Proven experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical devices industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components, including wiring, motors, controls, and instrumentation.
Familiarity with electrical testing and diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers.
Understanding of safety regulations and best practices for electrical work, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
