Description

As a Merchant, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, sourcing, production, and delivery of garments according to customer specifications and company standards.

You will work closely with senior merchants, designers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient execution of orders while maintaining quality and cost targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Coordination:
  • Assist senior merchants in receiving and reviewing customer orders.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all requirements are understood and communicated effectively.
  • Maintain order records, including specifications, timelines, and communications.
  • Sourcing and Procurement:
  • Support in sourcing raw materials, trims, and accessories required for garment production.
  • Communicate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
  • Production Planning:
  • Assist in creating production schedules based on order requirements, production capacity, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Address any production issues or delays promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Quality Control:
  • Assist in conducting quality inspections of materials, components, and finished garments.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve any quality issues identified during production.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Communicate order status updates, production timelines, and any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with design teams to interpret customer requirements and provide input on product development.
  • Cost Management:
  • Assist in monitoring production costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Participate in cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Support in analyzing cost breakdowns and preparing pricing proposals for customers.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipment documents.
  • Prepare regular reports on order status, production progress, and key performance indicators.
  • Assist in analyzing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the garments/Home Furnishing manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Pay:
₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
