Provide direct nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to physician orders and nursing protocols, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and clinical status, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team promptly.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures to promote patient comfort and wellbeing.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and goals.
Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHRs), maintaining confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, medications, selfcare strategies, and discharge instructions to facilitate informed decisionmaking and promote patient autonomy.
Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected in care delivery and decisionmaking processes.
