    Description
    About the RoleAs a result ofour rapid growth we are looking for a Java Backend Engineer to joinour existing Cloud Engineering team and take the lead in the designand development of several key initiatives of our existing Miko3product line as well as our new product development initiatives.
    Responsibilities
    • Designing developing and maintaining core system features servicesandengines
    • Collaboratingwith a cross functional team of the backend Mobile application AIsignal processing robotics Engineers Design Content and LinguisticTeam to realize the requirements of conversational social roboticsplatform which includes investigate design approaches prototype newtechnology and evaluate technicalfeasibility
    • Ensure thedeveloped backend infrastructure is optimized for scale andresponsiveness
    • Ensurebest practices in design development security monitoring loggingand DevOps adhere to the execution of the project.
    • Introducing new ideasproducts features by keeping track of the latest developments andindustry trends
    • Operating in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high qualitysoftware against aggressiveschedules
    Requirements
    • Proficiencyin distributed application development lifecycle (concepts ofauthentication/authorization security session management loadbalancing API gateway) programming techniques and tools(application of tested proven development paradigms)
    • Proficiency inworking on Linux based Operating system.
    • Working Knowledge ofcontainer orchestration platform like Kubernetes
    • Proficiency in atleast one serverside programming language like Java. Additionallanguages like Python and PHP are a plus
    • Proficiency in atleast one serverside framework like Servlets Spring java spark(Java).
    • Proficient inusing ORM/Data access frameworks like HibernateJPA with spring orother serverside frameworks.
    • Proficiency in atleast one data serialization framework: Apache Thrift GoogleProtoBuffs Apache AvroGoogle JsonJackSon etc.
    • Proficiency in atleast one of inter process communication frameworks WebSockets RPCmessage queues custom HTTP libraries/frameworks ( kryonet RxJava )etc.
    • Proficiency inmultithreaded programming and Concurrency concepts (Threads ThreadPools Futures asynchronous programming).
    • Experience definingsystem architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs(architecture design patterns reliability andscaling)
    • Experiencedeveloping cloud software services and an understanding of designfor scalability performance andreliability
    • Goodunderstanding of networking and communication protocols andproficiency in identification CPU memory & I/O bottleneckssolve read & writeheavy workloads.
    • Proficiency isconcepts of monolithic and microservice architectural paradigms.
    • Proficiency inworking on at least one of cloud hosting platforms like Amazon AWSGoogle Cloud Azure etc.
    • Proficiency in atleast one of database SQL NOSQL Graph databases like MySQL MongoDBOrientdb
    • Proficiencyin at least one of testing frameworks or tools JMeter LocustsTaurus
    • Proficiency inat least one RPC communication framework: Apache Thrift GRPC is anadded plus
    • Proficiency inasynchronous libraries (RxJava) frameworks (Akka)PlayVertx is anadded plus
    • Proficiency infunctional programming ( Scala ) languages is an added plus
    • Proficiency inworking with NoSQL/graph databases is an added plus
    • Proficientunderstanding of code versioning tools such as Git is an added plus
    • Working Knowledge oftools for server application metrics logging and monitoring and isa plus Monit ELK graylog is an added plus
    • Working Knowledge ofDevOps containerization utilities like Ansible Salt Puppet is anadded plus
    • WorkingKnowledge of DevOps containerization technologies like Docker LXDis an added plus
