    BU / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

    ICT BU is a Global BU responsible for Industrial and Commercial vehicles requirements such as Bus, Truck, Construction, Agriculture, and Two-Wheelers. Our global revenue is $1.1 billion, and we have a complete product portfolio with 14.4k product families and 10.5k customers globally.     ROLE OBJECTIVE

    • Perform pre-production activities and hand over tools for production.
    • Maintain and perform assembly activities of tools until handed over to production.
    • Support on ME assembly activities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain and perform assembly activities of tools until handed over to production.
    • Understand drawings for tool manufacturing purposes and follow up inside the TE tool room and with suppliers for spares/tool parts & accessories.
    • Engage in CAD activities including reviews, FMEA, and basic CAD activities to expedite processes.
    • Troubleshoot issues during trials to find solutions and expedite activities.
    • Handle tools for Wagholi, Shirwal plants, and suppliers, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Validate concept designs using simulation results and ensure design robustness.
    • Follow process guidelines (IATF 16949, and needed ISO standards).
    • Participate in Kaizen events to save costs & time.
    • Implement standardized processes and work methodology.
    • Support benchmarks and implement productivity improvement methods.
    • Track and monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.
    • Collaborate with Tool room, Design & Production teams to enhance design & process optimization.

    EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

    • Diploma/Post Diploma in Tool and Die making from GTTC/NTTF or from a reputed institute. Engineering degree holders are preferred.
    • Knowledge of product design processes and methodology.
    • Expertise in Tool Assembly, Trials, Machining processes, Measurement techniques, and molding & stamping processes.
    • Understanding of LEAN / 6 Sigma / Kaizen techniques.
    • Proficiency in tool making, application/selection of tool steel, heat treatment, and plating/coating.
    • Knowledge of geometric tolerances and GPS.
    • Scientific injection molding Technique and/or Master molding Certification are preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of Engineering Plastic resins and Metals.
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools.

    CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

    • 2 - 5 years of industry experience.
    • Experience in Connector/Precision Tools manufacturing Industry.
