This role will require troubleshooting and a high sense of responsibility for the problems and requests.

Communication and timeliness are a must in problem solving, initiating change, and escalation.

Your day-to-day role will include:

Proactive DBA Activities to Improve Database Environment.
Serve as escalation from Tier
Provide 24x7x365 DBA request availability.
Perform database install and creation. Advise and consult on architecture and engineering issues and approaches.
Provide Senior DBA support & collaboration. Perform complex issue resolution/correlation. Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues.
Provide issue tracking and communication.
Perform advanced database and query tuning.
Perform proactive space/growth management.
Database security, compliance, licensing; HA, DR, and scalability improvements/strategy. Backup and recovery improvements/strategy.
Clustering and replication improvements/strategy.

You Have:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline along with:

7+ years of database administration experience preferably in MSSQL, MySQL and Postgres.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
Thorough knowledge in ANSI SQL,T-SQL etc.
Hands on experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell.
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
Thorough knowledge in SSIS, SSRS.
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options in MSSQL/MySQL/Postgres.
Experience working with Windows/Linux server, including Active Directory
Excellent written and verbal communication; Flexible, team player, getitdone personality.
Ability to organize and plan work independently
Ability to multitask and contextswitch effectively between different activities and teams It would be great if you also have: Healthcare experience & DBA certifications
