What's in it for you:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a Fabric and Power BI Administrator with BI Developer capabilities.

This role involves onboarding Fabric in our tenant, framing proper architecture and governance, managing our data fabric infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of Power BI, and actively contributing to developing and enhancing business intelligence solutions.


Responsibilities:


Data Fabric Administration:

Manage and maintain the data fabric infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaborate with IT teams to implement and troubleshoot fabric-related solutions.

Implement security protocols and access controls to protect sensitive data within the fabric.


Power BI Administration:

Administer, monitor, and optimize Power BI services and environments.

Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and implement them effectively in Power BI.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI dashboards, reports, and data sources.

Implement and enforce Power BI governance policies.


Business Intelligence Development:

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.

Create data models, transformations, and data visualizations to support decision-making processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop solutions accordingly.


Integration and Automation:

Integrate Power BI with various data sources and systems.

Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data availability for reporting.

Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency.


Documentation and Training:

Document configurations, processes, and best practices for fabric and Power BI administration.

Conduct training sessions for end-users and internal teams to enhance their Power BI proficiency.


What We're Looking For:


Technical Skills:


Fabric Administration:


Power BI Administration:

Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.


Development Capabilities:

Knowledge of Power BI development tools and languages, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).


Cloud Platforms:

Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, for both Fabric and Power BI.


Data Modeling and Analysis:

Strong understanding of data modeling concepts for both Power BI and Fabric.

Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration.


Performance Optimization:

Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and optimizing resource utilization.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate Certification Preferred.

Power BI Certified Data Analyst Associate Certification Preferred.

Familiarity with other BI tools and reporting solutions.

Proven experience in Fabric administration and development.

Strong background in Power BI administration and report development.

Proficiency in PowerShell.

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.

Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization concepts.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Demonstrable experience piloting and driving new technologies

Demonstrable experience working with continuous integration principals and technologies

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team

Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile preferred)
