As the Data Science Professional in our Global Service team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm


You will be part of the Global Services team which functions as an internal business & metrics reporting and analytics group responsible for delivering highly quantitative and qualitative reports and analytics tools that support bankers, salespeople, and senior management agendas.

You will learn core business processes, build new ML capabilities, develop and deploy ML Models for metrics/management reporting, and provide decision support.


You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that help drive profitability and efficiency across the Commercial Banking organization.

You will be responsible for assisting the business in ongoing development, deployment and maintenance of ML models.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a small team of Data Scientists and Data engineers and drive agenda for Analytics and Insights team
  • Participate and provide valuable inputs in complex quantitative data driven efforts to drive business development in support of operations
  • Drive analytics capability development using advanced data techniques and statistical methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to distill information and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences
  • Interact with business and functional stakeholders throughout the organization for understanding requirements.
  • Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders
  • Define, design, and drive high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility in areas above ranging from delivering business initiatives to engineering enabling capabilities

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • 7 to 10 years of experience, preferably in financial services or commercial banking
  • Bachelor's / master's in economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering.
  • Strong Python hands on experience
  • Work experience with designing and building machine learning algorithms like Regression, Classification, Time series, Clustering, NLP, Linear programming, Vector algebra and understanding of rationale behind them
  • Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / modeling / visualization)
  • Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data
  • Data querying techniques. (SQL, Hadoop, HIVE, AWS)
  • Experience in tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Proven record to learn new Capability and Technologies given evolving nature of the job
  • Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate insights/recommendations (verbal and written)
  • Team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


  • Understanding on CI/CD deployment environment
  • Experience with Bitbucket and Jules will be a plus
  • Fair Understanding on Airflow and DAG development
  • Ability to understand JP Morgan model risk policies and procedures and to be an advocate for the Insights and Analytics team to ensure products are deployed in a timely and sustainable way
  • Working knowledge of Tableau
