Description

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automotive battery packs, ensuring compatibility with vehicle architecture and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including electrical engineers, materials scientists, and manufacturing experts to integrate mechanical design aspects into battery systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analysis for battery design proposals, considering factors such as thermal management, structural integrity, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement design solutions that optimize battery pack performance, durability, and safety while meeting cost and weight targets.
• Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D/3D models, conduct simulations, and perform tolerance analyses for mechanical components.
• Generate technical documentation, specifications, and reports related to mechanical design, test results, and validation procedures.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and validation activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and performance goals.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in battery materials and mechanical engineering to enhance design methodologies and processes.

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (X years) in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive or energy storage industry with a focus on batteries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) for creating detailed designs and simulations.
• Strong understanding of thermal management, stress analysis, materials selection, and manufacturing processes relevant to battery systems.
• Ability to work in crossfunctional teams, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Problemsolving aptitude with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to design challenges.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality control processes in the automotive industry is a plus.
