Job description
We are looking for someone who produces high quality project design deliverables in both

FF&E and construction documents. An Interior Designer lead can work on any/all phases of

development including PreDesign, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction

Documents and Construction Administration. Report to the management on tasks and

deliverables and work directly with him/her to ensure the facilitation of a project's

completion; on-time, on/under-budget, and meets quality standards.


Job Responsibility:


  • Will present and lead in client tours and design interaction
  • Meet with company sales representatives and clients to gather project requirements,
- establish project timeline, and develop project budget

  • Reviews RFP and Bid specifications
  • Develop creative design concepts and space plans that fulfill client requirements
  • Gather dimensions of project area and prepares accurate base drawings as needed
  • Generate furniture plans with intelligent graphics on AutoCAD and/or Configura including
  • 3D's and elevations as required
  • Generate accurate furniture specifications using Configura programs
  • Develop color schemes with material and finish selections within schedule and budget

Requirements:


  • Prepare installation plans as requested
  • Lead mentoring and coaching of junior and interior designers
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, each with differing scope and products
  • Participate as an organization leader related to projects,
  • Hosts design charrettes
  • Will lead showroom tours
  • Participate in and prepare furniture inventories as needed

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
  • Certification of Interior Design Qualification
  • 2 years' experience in the contract furniture industry preferable
