Role Profile


The Principal Enterprise Architect is responsible for understanding the LSEG Enterprise Architecture governance process and running the corporate Technology Architecture governance forums.


This role will ensure that the architecture and technology teams follow the governance processes set by LSEG Enterprise Architecture team and guide where ever they need assistance.

  • Responsibilities
Work with fellow Enterprise Architects to produce Capability and Corporate Technology wide strategy documentation.

  • Champion the technology strategy with stakeholders
  • Enhance the usage of LeanIX so that our As Is and To Be views are managed systematically
  • Enhance and streamline governance within Corporate Technology Architecture.
  • Be a centre of excellence advising projects on navigating Enterprise level Governance
  • Run governance processes

Critical Deliverables:

  • Deliver Corporate Technology strategy documentation and work with Enterprise Architects to maintain it
  • Drive up data accuracy in LeanIX and usage of LeanIX
  • Provide Corporate technologyspecific guidance in the form of FaQs, videos and training sessions to improve Corporate Technology understanding of governance and how to approach it
  • Improving the quality of the engagement with various Governance and Compliance models so that Corporate Technology projects traverse those processes with less friction

Knowledge & Skill:

  • Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy, Cloud and Security
  • Detailed knowledge of operational, delivery management (including experience in a variety of delivery methodologies), business development and strategy and organisational transformation programmes
  • Knowledge of investment and programme governance
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Setting up, running and improving Architectural Governance processes

Business and Sector Expertise:

  • Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture and Technology Strategy across Financial Services organisations
  • Experience in developing and influencing strategic working relationships with key technology suppliers
  • Experience in setting up, running and improving Architectural Governance processes
  • Experience in advising/communicating with the 'Global Head/Head of' levels' of Management and with seniorlevel regulators

Leadership experience:

  • Strong leadership skills in managing individuals and leading highperforming teams.
  • Experience in defining strategic goals for functions and systems for measuring goal attainment.
  • Experience providing technology leadership in managing complex transformations areas of human resources, finances, and operations, Lead to Cash or strategies
  • Finding opportunities to partner with external Technology organisations, developing the approach and negotiating terms
  • Experience in establishing Architecture in an Agile culture
  • Leadership and management experience at Senior Manager or equivalent level, managing global teams in a matrix environment

Personal skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical partners and to listen to identified concerns and adapt accordingly
  • Ability to influence across multiple Functions
  • Experience in successfully planning and delivering largescale complex technology integrations and technology transformation programmes
  • Ability to work well under pressure particularly during an incident.
  • A continuous desire and willingness to learn and develop your current knowledge and skillset
  • Frequently keeps up to date with the latest industry development and technological innovations
  • Flexible in approach, adapting plans and strategies to help manage risks around ambiguity
  • Strategic problem solver with a strong intuition for business and wellversed in current technological trends and business concepts
