We invite you to bring your knowledge of managing corporate restructuring into play as you take on a key role in strengthening our global legal operations.

To succeed in this role you must have experience of 3 yrs. or more managing and/or coordinating in-house support to closures, mergers and setting up new companies and branches worldwide.

Preferably you would have acted as a project manager for such transactions, coordinating the legal steps with all other aspects (HR, financial, communication etc) and reporting to the leadership on the progress.

We expect you would also have appropriate legal qualifications (LLB or other relevant degree) from reputed college and University or alternatively a degree in project / business management, supported by sufficient legal background.

Previous experience in consultancy or engineering company in construction, environmental or infrastructure industry is beneficial.

You will join our Group Legal Secretariat**As our new Corporate Restructuring Advisor, you will be part of the Group Legal Secretariat team. The team provides a centralised service for corporate restructuring advice and keeps central company secretariat records for all Group companies' portfolio. Our team members are located mainly in India and supported from Denmark and UK. The principal activity is management of the corporate matters globally, ensuring records and progress on an internal initiative to optimise legal portfolio. You will be working closely with the Global Operations team (the Global Legal Manager for the Company Law, M&A and Corporate Restructuring in particular), your other colleagues in Legal and in other corporate functions, as well as with the business stakeholders.


Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the corporate matters globally, as part of the team allocated to an internal initiative to optimise legal portfolio:
- ensure monthly alignment with stakeholders responsible for opening, closure and mergers of identified legal entities or branches, and report on progress
- assist stakeholders, project managers and functions in filling in the relevant documentation (Playbook) and, when necessary for the progress of a particular restructuring, directly assist in coordination

  • Provide feedback if there is a need of SteerCo involvement/actions
  • Assist with legal tasks in connection to closure and mergers of identified legal entities, PEs etc.
  • Help with ensuring legal tasks are done, e.g., by assisting the local PMs with paperwork, approvals, filing etc.
  • Act as PM for selected closures of dormant entities, handling alignment between internal and external stakeholders and obtaining approvals for the closure to move forward
  • Assist in planning for other closures/mergers where PM is needed to ensure progress
The key deliverables over the first 18 months for this role will be:

  • Project progress: ensure the optimisation project is on track and challenges are reported and mitigated early
  • Stakeholder management: develop strong working relations with the local legal functions, PMs, financial directors and other the functional representatives supporting closures, creations and mergers globally.

  • Previous experience providing inhouse support to corporate restructuring in an international business
  • Strong project or programme management skills, including tracking and preparing progress reports
  • Previous experience providing inhouse support in a consultancy or engineering company in construction, environmental or infrastructure industry
