Role Description

Deutsche Bank (DB) Centre, Mumbai is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank and serves as a talent pool for DB's various divisions including Investment Bank (IB) across the world.

The IB division contributes to a significant portion of Deutsche Bank's revenues and profits. Deutsche Bank is one of the leading Investment banks globally and a key player in the global financial sector.

The IB Strategy & Competitor Analysis offshore team analyses and reviews Deutsche Bank's performance vis-à-vis leading global banks, both qualitatively and quantitatively.

It also supports the senior management in taking decisions regarding the business, in light of performance analysis, industry trends, regulatory outlook and other factors.

The team also provides support in preparation of various presentations to help senior management in their internal and external communications.

Major work deliverables produced by the team on a regular basis include:

Presentation materials for senior management for internal and external communications
Strategic analysis that helps shape senior management thinking and decisions
Detailed briefing documents outlining peer performance after their earnings release each quarter
Competitor Review: a comprehensive document to report quarterly performance of the global investment banking industry, DB and its core peers. Covers revenues, VaR, market performance, and strategic and regulatory developments at the leading banks

Your key responsibilities

Contribute to the overall team's workflow ensuring that deliverables are completed accurately and on a timely basis
Assist the team in writing/updating commentary based on analysis of competitor results and broad industry trends
Prepare and update all base documents for each competitor by highlighting and incorporating financials including restatements (if any)
Capture, analyze and present the competitor data (including quantitative and qualitative aspects) in a meaningful manner
Assist in analysis of internal/external data based on adhoc requests received from senior management
Be able to learn content quickly although investment banking experience is not a prerequisite, the role involves researching and analyzing new topics on a regular basis

Your skills and experience

46 years of work experience
Excellent Excel, Power point and Word skills. Knowledge of Acrobat
Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, commitment & interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good multitasking skills
Handle work pressure and organize tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Consulting background / work experience will be preferred (though not compulsory)
Post Graduate, preferably in business or other quantitative field (mathematics, engineering, etc)
