Job Title:
English Teacher

Job Summary:

An English teacher is responsible for instructing students in the English language, literature, and writing skills. The role involves developing lesson plans, delivering lectures, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.


Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:


  • Design and develop lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Select appropriate texts, literature, and resources to enhance the learning experience.

Classroom Instruction:


  • Deliver effective and engaging lessons to students, utilizing various teaching methods and technologies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Assessment and Evaluation:


  • Evaluate and assess students' academic progress through assignments, exams, and projects.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.

Individualized Instruction:


  • Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students, providing additional support or challenges as necessary.
  • Offer extra help or tutoring to students who may require additional assistance.

Communication:


  • Maintain open and regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Attend parentteacher conferences and other relevant meetings.

Professional Development:


  • Stay informed about developments in the field of education, language arts, and teaching methodologies.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.

Classroom Management:


  • Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior effectively, addressing any issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree often preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of English language, literature, and writing principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into the classroom.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
