A role with Business Partnerships & Negotiations means supporting Merchandising in developing the best possible deals for Target through strategic partnerships and vendor negotiations.

Here, you'll work with buyers on contract terms and vendor organizations to set strategies that get the maximum value for Target.

Use your analytics expertise and strategic thinking to position Target and its vendors for the most productive and successful partnerships


As a
Consultant - Learning Enablement Design & Ops, you'll be joining the Vendor Solutions team who translates business needs into impactful vendor experiences.

You'll combine your knowledge of design principles and adult learning theory to produce creative solutions for a variety of audience Target's business partners.

You'll work cross-functionally with Subject Matter Experts, business leaders, and Client Engagement/Centers of Excellence teams to ensure your content resonates with end users, functions as you designed, and meets business objectives.

Core Responsibilities:


  • Leverage your advanced level of design, UX/LX, adult learning theory, and consultation skills to design and develop inclusive team member learning experiences and creative solutions that promote Target's culture and a guestfirst mindset
  • Leverage your design expertise and eye for detail to write/edit scripts, create storyboards, source and/or build assets, develop eLearning interactions, and build learning products/experiences that meet business goals
  • Demonstrate an ability to work on strategic and complex projects that bring to life Target's culture, Leadership, and learning philosophies. Projects work may span multiple partners, phases, content modalities, or work approaches.
  • Adhere to accessibility and measurement standards while producing content that aligns with the Target brand aesthetic and/or follows a style or brand guide
  • Appropriately scope project requests and select tools, methodologies, and solutions that fit project constraints and the audience environment, confidently influencing stakeholders where needed
  • Collaborate with teams and leaders to build strong relationships across TC|DEI and at times, vendors, HR, and/or clients.
  • Lead design projects that drive efficiency and consistency across design processes, workflows, and project evaluation

About you:


  • 5+ years relevant work experience in instructional design, adult learning theory, graphic design, UX design, communications, or creative agency role(s)
  • Adept at learning new technology and a solid understanding of the Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop), video production, and/or eLearning development tools (Elucidat)
  • Ability to formulate cohesive stories and write engaging and inclusive instructional copy
  • Effective visual and verbal presentation skills
  • Skilled in scoping, managing, and executing complex projects at many different stages and in a fastpaced environment
  • Open to creative feedback and able to deal with change
  • A natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and love for design, including a commitment to continued growth in design techniques, technologies, and approaches.
