Primary Purpose


Is responsible for managing overall daily operations of the Laundry Room to deliver an excellent Guest experience while ensuring quality controls and guest inquiries.

Skills & Major accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities)


  • Should have good communication skills and organisational and planning skills.
  • Should be a computer literate, knowledge of related property software.
  • Working knowledge of the operation and care of commercial washers and dryers.
  • Should have knowledge of how to use chemicals and solvents correctly and safely.
  • Should be accountable and spirited.

Responsibilities:


  • Should works in close co-ordination with the Laundry Executive and prepares working schedule for staff to ensure highest efficiency of time utilization.
  • Should maintain the highest standard of Guest Laundry and House Laundry at all times and straighten out any discrepancy in guest laundry.
  • Should train new employees to meet Hotel standards and follow SOP's.
  • Ensures that all laundry equipment and machines are periodically maintained by the Engineering Department.
  • Should ensure par stocks are maintained and take receipt of stock and ensure safe storage.
  • Ensure guest complaints are well addressed, log books are maintained, Issue work orders for any defects in machinery and follow-up accordingly.
  • Should manage telephone calls both from guests and other departments.
  • Should prepare daily/monthly reports I.e., discard linen, daily reports, Monthly room and F&B linen inventory.
  • Should perform additional assignments as given by the management.
Work relations (context - main interfaces - functional report)

  • Reports to Assistant Manager Laundry.
  • Interfaces strongly with department head and laundry employees.
Key figures - provide key data of the job e.g. budget, number of reports etc

Experience and qualifications required for the job
Bachelor's degree preferred (ideally in hospitality) with atleast 2-3 years of previous experience in good five star hotels. Should have worked in laundry as Assistant/supervisor Laundry.


Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree preferred
