Description

Cable Splicer Job Duties:

  • Cable splicers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
  • Installing new cables and repairing damaged ones, using hand tools such as pliers and wire cutters.
  • Coordinating with other construction workers during projects to ensure that their work does not interfere with other trades' activities.
  • Installing new cabling and equipment such as modems, routers, and switches.
  • Maintaining work site safety by following OSHA guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with hazardous materials or equipment.
  • Installing cable television equipment such as amplifiers, filters, splitters, and converters.
  • Reading blueprints and schematics to determine the location of cables and equipment needed for installation or repair.
  • Installing fiber optic cables for phone, internet, and security systems.
  • Installing or repairing electrical wiring or equipment such as transformers, junction boxes, circuit breakers, and light fixtures.

Salary:
₹15, ₹28,000.00 per month
