To implement and follow NABL 112, ISO 15189:2012 guidelines (wherever applied)

Performs testing in those technical areas of molecular biology (esp, nucleic acid extraction and Real time PCR) for which they are appropriately trained.
Prepares and maintains detailed records, logs and summary reports of all procedures and results including graphs, scientific calculations, and statistical analysis charting
To maintain work area clean and follow strict asepsis by implementing waste disposal, decontamination and Biosafety procedures as per recommended guidelines.
To document the temperature and humidity of the room fridges and deep freezer and store the records.
To perform daily maintenance, weekly maintenance and monthly maintenance of the instrument as required.
To run the controls according to the QC protocol.
To perform lot/lot or kit/kit verification as required.
To report QC failure/calibration failure to Section Head/ HOD or designee.
To take corrective action for the QC failure/calibration failure and document the same.
To receive the stock and document the same and store accordingly.
To document in detail the work concerned in timely and accurate manner.
To retain the samples in the designated place after processing and discard samples after the retention period.
To maintain sufficient stock of reagents in the department and ensure uninterrupted flow of work.
Communicate department test delays and related issues to concerned persons
Attend training programs and other ongoing education programs.
