Collection Executive for Debt Recovery
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Collection Executive to join our team and support our debt recovery efforts.
As a Collection Executive, you will be responsible for contacting individuals and businesses with outstanding debts, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of overdue payments.
Your ability to communicate effectively, maintain a professional demeanor, and employ strong negotiation skills will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Establish effective communication channels to maintain contact with debtors, ensuring timely follow-up on repayment commitments.
- Evaluate debtor financial situations and develop suitable repayment plans based on their ability to pay.
- Negotiate with debtors to secure payment arrangements that are mutually beneficial and conducive to debt recovery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities, including contact details, payment commitments, and conversations with debtors.
- Monitor and track payment schedules, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon repayment plans.
- Provide timely updates to management on the progress of debt recovery efforts and highlight any challenges or issues that may hinder recovery.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal, credit control, and customer service, to gather information and resolve disputes or discrepancies related to outstanding debts.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in debt collection, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines and ethical standards.
- Handle debtor inquiries, complaints, and requests for information in a professional and customer-centric manner.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive debtor information.
- Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and suggest strategies for enhancing recovery rates and reducing delinquency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Collection Executive, Debt Collector, or similar role, preferably in a financial institution or debt recovery agency.
- Strong knowledge of debt collection practices, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and overcome objections.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and empathy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using computer systems, databases, and collection software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding collection targets.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.

₹8, ₹32,890.78 per month
