- deciding how to translate messages and ideas into visuals
- creating and executing a style guide for artwork
- meeting with clients and listening to their needs and requirements
- assisting with the selection of design elements such as fonts, colours and images for layouts
- coming up with design guidelines
- supervising design modifications throughout the development process
- creating logos
- creating digital drawings using software
- creating pictures from data and ideas
- presenting creative design work to clients
- making modifications to designs after presenting them to clients
- collaborating closely with the creative team to develop content
