Your Role and Responsibilities


The India System design team is responsible to own and deliver System design milestones for IBM POWER and mainframe platforms.

The team collaborates with Global System design & development teams and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

As PCB Design Tools support, the responsibilities include

  • Provide support for any questions and issues related to PCB design tools like Cadence
  • Allegro/APD and also Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)
  • Development of utilities to enhance PCB Design Tools
  • Tool and design methodology education to Design team as required
  • Support for Installs, patches, updates, etc.
  • AFS support for new users, issues, data increases, etc. Problem evaluation and resolution
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 38 years of total experience in PCB Design tools support like Cadence Allegro, APD & Mentor Graphics Xpedition
  • Demonstrated experience programming languages such as Perl, Kshell, Cshell, SKILL code, C, Python, Java
  • Understanding of file structures on various platforms with Windows and Unix/Linux
  • Troubleshooting skills to access and address root cause(s) and provide solutions in timely manner
  • Social/Communication skills to work with a wide variety of people in many different cultures and skill levels
  • Must be effective working in a teambased atmosphere
  • Selfstarter, selfmotivation, able to independently drive tasks to completion
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detail
  • Expertise in server administration including installation, upgrades, backup etc.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge on any secondary PCB design tool like Siemens
  • PADS, Altium, or Siemens
  • Valor NPI
  • Understanding of electronics and physical design
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes involved with the build of PCB from Gerber to Raw Card to Assemblies
  • Background/understanding of IT related skills (systems and networks, database management, operating system knowledge, technical writing, PC hardware, troubleshooting, etc.)
