We are looking to hire a Processing Expert in our Beauty & Well Being Business based in Mumbai:

JOB SUMMARY:
Your Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for leveraging the process development programme for Global and local innovation projects and innovation platforms.
  • You will be responsible to deliver robust process recommendations for new products and technologies into factories in India and BSPAN.
  • Rigorous management of factory trials. You should have an expert level knowledge on I pro MPT system and you need to ensure highest compliance level.
  • You will actively participate in Supplier & 3rd party management process
  • Assessing supplier & 3rd party manufacturing process capabilities.
  • You will be responsible to drive Process Safety. You will be ensuring processing R&D maintains compliance with Unilever and external standards.
  • You will Define and execute Process capability programme to serve next generation innovation and Supply Chain requirements.
  • You will drive Processing workstream across various OKRs like Innovation, 5S and Product Superiority etc and hold SCARD score card for B&W South Asia Head.
  • Developing a strong processing team through coaching, supporting and development of team members
  • You will lead all local pilot plant activities maintaining efficiency and safe operations across teams.
  • You will be responsible to leverage Digital agenda, recommend and use model for lab and pilot plant operations.
  • Work towards Digital/AI Hub initiatives including the culture change and ensure that Global and local digital targets are met.
  • Collate, track, and ensure Project and budget are managed in accordance with the requirements.
  • You must be SAFETY savvy.
  • You should possess stakeholder management skills for small "c" project teams and cross functional stakeholders.

  • Previous work experience in R&D Processing function / factory operations.
  • Scaleup formulations (Planning & Executing) from bench to Pilot Scale & from Pilot to Main Plant & Technology Rollout to the Sourcing Units
  • Proven track record of OTIF delivery of innovation projects and/ or project management
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnering with SC.
  • Agility
  • Strong technical skills with understanding of core design principles, Process characterization & engineering.
  • Proactivity drive processing capability
  • Change management to ensure OTIF rollouts to BSPAN
  • Strong finance, analytical and organisational skills
  • Passion, drive and desire to win
  • An appetite for challenge, with a hardworking, tenacious attitude.
  • Education to degree level or higher in Chemical Engineering.
  • Vision to innovate / how we innovate
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity
  • A good communicator / influencer (written & verbal), with ability to both translate complex scientific ideas and hypothesis into key messages for stakeholders (brand, customer development, key opinion formers regulators, trade and ultimately consumers)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of R&D / Factory operations experience in HUL R&D business.
  • Chemical engineering or Cosmetic Tech background is preferred.
  • Experience in Formulation Development/Packaging Development in different categories is desirable.
  • Experience of Technical Project Leadership in skin/hair is desirable.
  • Experience of factory and operations will be an advantage.
