Ø Familiarity with UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting.

Ø Solaris & AIX knowledge

Ø VMware administration.

Ø Knowledge of networking principles including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP.

Ø Understanding of backup procedures and storage management.

Ø In-depth knowledge of computer hardware systems including circuit boards, memory modules, and processors.

Ø Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Ø Excellent communication skill.

UNIX System Administrator Responsibilities:

Ø Installing and upgrading UNIX system software on company servers and computers.

Ø Creating UNIX file systems.

Ø Setting up and maintaining UNIX user accounts and access management systems.

Ø Implementing network and computer system policies.

Ø Detecting and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

Ø Responding to user requests and software errors.

Ø Monitoring the performance of the system and server.

Ø Firmware upgrade.
