As the SAS Programmer (internally referred to as Systems Analyst I) You will be responsible for creating and testing SAS code used for standard data file creations.

Additional responsibilities below:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create or review Clario standard data specifications.
Attend Client Meetings as appropriate to understand data collection requirements.
Review or provide standard data specifications.
Develop programs to create Clario standard data files.
As part of the Software Development Life Cycle, review User Requirements and create and/or review Functional and Technical Specifications.
Process data extracts:
Review encoding requests daily to run encoding programs.-
Produce generic edit checks and client-specific edit checks for the DM/PM to clean data.-
Create final client data files and transfer to client (for electronic transfers) or produce CD or diskette and provide to the DM/PM.-
Create and test ad-hoc programs for data resolution/mining.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with orientation and training of Data Management / Project Management personnel as determined by management.
In conjunction with the entire department, recommend, develop and implement SOPs for improved Data Management Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

Education:

BS in computer sciences or related field.

Experience:

Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process.
Strong organization, analytical and communication skills.
Detailoriented.
Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office products preferred.
Minimum one year experience with BASE SAS products and procedures and one year experience in database design and data structures.
