Responsibilities:

Purchases materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes price, delivery, and terms. Not heavily involved in development of specifications, but work is more complex than buying offtheshelf items. Reviews and approves purchase requisitions. Identifies potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations. Analyzes and selects suppliers and issues purchase orders; followsup and expedites as necessary. Investigates and qualifies suppliers. Monitors market trends and conditions.

Qualifications:

Experienced. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; performing all duties of assigned role, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction. Impact of work is primarily within own division or site.
