Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing Foundry technology process like Melting/Pouring/Sand plant/Core making and Fettling for castings mainly, Cylinder heads and Cylinder Blocks. Knowledge of TS / ISO quality system incl APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, DCP, etc. Knowledge of tools like DOE, QCRT, etc for systematic problem solving. Knowledge of Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST), and implementation of Long Term Settlements. Knowledge of Production Planning and control, OEE, optimum utilisation of Resources and Inventory Control. Knowledge of DWM, TPM, Lean manufacturing, 5S, Safety systems ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, ISMS. Knowledge about Innovation and fostering an environment of Innovation and Ingenuity. Knowledge about latest Global trends in Foundry process and facilities. Technological upgrades with benchmark practices. Knowledge about Low cost automation technology, Digitisation, Business Analytics, Industry 40. Knowledge about change management. Responsible for process development and improvement in the existing processes for improving the Productivity, Quality, Delivery and reducing Cost with high customer centric approach. Drive and implement management systems and initiatives such as TPM, 5s, KAIZEN, SOT, BBS etc. Good industrial relations to ensure harmonious work environment and maintain good ER and develop the skill of the associates. Maintain shop floor discipline and ensure adherence to safe working practices. Ensure safety procedures are followed art all levels and good housekeeping levels are maintained. Regular interaction with concerned support functions eg CME, SQA, PPC, CQA, Asset management to ensure achieving the set targets
