Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and instructional activities that align with the curriculum standards and learning objectives for English language and literature.
  • Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, using a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a love for literature and language by exposing students to a wide range of literary genres, authors, and texts, and encouraging critical analysis, interpretation, and appreciation of literature.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments, including tests, essays, projects, presentations, and discussions, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate students with varying abilities, interests, and learning styles, including those with special educational needs or English language learners.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, inquiry, and intellectual curiosity among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the English department and across disciplines to integrate interdisciplinary connections, literacy initiatives, and technologyenhanced learning experiences into the English curriculum.
  • Participate in department meetings, professional development activities, and curriculum planning efforts to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay abreast of current trends and best practices in English language teaching.
  • Adhere to school policies, procedures, and professional standards, including those related to classroom management, student behavior, and academic integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in English literature, English language, education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification or licensure in English education.
  • Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level preferred.
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and literary analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies, pedagogical approaches, and assessment techniques tailored to teaching English language and literature.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources for enhancing English language instruction and assessment.
  • Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity and social justice.
  • Passion for literature, language, and education, with a dedication to inspiring students to become lifelong learners and effective communicators.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative spirit in working with students, colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders in the school community.

Pay:
₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
