*Job Description:*Key Responsibilities:
- Assess risk factors associated with applicants' driving history, vehicle details, or property characteristics.
- Determine policy terms, coverage limits, and premiums based on risk assessment and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with underwriting assistants to gather additional information and documentation as needed.
- Communicate underwriting decisions to insurance agents, brokers, and policyholders.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and underwriting guidelines to make informed decisions.
- Analyze and review policy renewals and endorsements, making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters as needed.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Participate in underwriting meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an underwriter in the insurance industry, with specific experience in motor or non-motor underwriting preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, underwriting principles, and risk management practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Underwriting (AU) is a plus.
Salary:
₹30, ₹45,000.00 per month
