GLOBAL PRODUCT SECURITY:

The purpose of the Global Product Security group is the enhancement of Carrier products and services, and assurance of cyber competitive advantage by driving:

  • Brand reputation and advancement within the product cyber domain
  • Secure development, continuous improvement and security maturity of products and services
  • Assurance of secure operations, response, support and channel engagement for all offerings
  • Product innovation and differentiation leveraging cybersecurity capabilities and expertise

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supports all phases of the secure engineering, support and development lifecycles in collaboration with multifunctional leaders, stakeholders, contributors and businesses
  • Drives secure development principles, practices & activities within engineering & production in order to help quantify cybersecurity risk, issues and defects within Carrier offerings, such that teams may appropriately characterize, manage and remediate to standard
  • Supports Product Security activities such as threat modeling, security assurance testing, cyber risk assessment, security reviews and threat vulnerability assessment for all offerings
  • Architects' solutions and designs security controls in order to meet secure design requirements, support cyber related feature and function development, implement security related modules and solutions, and fosters new product development and innovation
  • Provides technical leadership and oversight in design reviews
  • Provides timely and expert support to resolve difficult problems and issues
  • Provides audit, analysis, and review support for certification, standards, governance, process, infrastructure, deployment and all collaborative mission areas, Carrier brands and businesses

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
  • 6 to 10 years SW development exp w/5 years developing secure systems or controls
  • 5 or more years system design and architecture experience NPD and/or maintenance
  • Diverse technical domain experience (ex., Embedded, Web, Mobile, Cloud, etc.)
  • Strong exp with secure by design principles and architecture level security concepts
  • Exposure to the Agile environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively support diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders
  • Experience in the building technologies domain, especially HVAC, Refrigeration, Fire, Physical Security, Video Surveillance and/or related services
  • Certifications demonstrating deep practical knowledge such as CSSLP, CISSP, etc
