Yellow Spark has been exclusively mandated by a leading independent publishing house in New Delhi to hire a Sales Coordinator who will manage all sales-related activities.


Location:
New Delhi (Hybrid)


Budget:
INR 7.8 LPA + Benefit


Purpose of the Role:

To efficiently manage and execute the sales, supply chain, and inventory of all books (physical and electronic), in coordination with national and international distributors.


Role & Responsibilities:


Managing and executing the sales, supply chain, and inventory of books (physical and electronic), in coordination with national and international distributors; managing the company's e-commerce website; overseeing warehousing, stocking, and overall inventory; coordinating with book fairs, festivals, and other events for book sales.


Managing Distributors:


  • Manage regional distribution relationships for the publishing house and oversee the supply chain of stock to these distributors
  • Liaise with local distributors monthly for invoicing, sales materials, and sales and stock reports
  • Oversee and manage international distribution relationships on a biannual cycle, including supply chain, invoicing, sales materials, sales and stock reports, and delivery coordination

Inventory Management:


  • Monitor inventory and stock (local and consignment) for all titles on regular reporting cycles, to complement reprint management with editorial and production departments
  • Provide monthly updates on sales at monthly meetings, quarterly updates on stock, annual reports on sales trends, and maintain sales trends for individual titles, using figures and reports from the finance and management team.
  • Oversee the management and efficiency of the warehouse and associated staff.

Manage e-commerce website: Run the e-retail system via our website, including inventory management, oversight of order fulfillment, and updating of sales items for new titles


Manage Events for sales & marketing:

  • Co-run their own sales & marketing events with the team, including the fairs and other annual sales
  • Coordinate all sales requirements for their books at external bookrelated events, including book fairs and festivals, launches, etc.
  • Maintain detailed and uptodate spreadsheets to track the above

Essential Requirements:_


Qualification & Knowledge:

  • Graduation in any steam
  • Interest in and knowledge of feminist publishing and/or the genderrelated knowledge production landscape in South Asia and more specifically in India

Experience:


  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in sales or managing distribution systems.
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Prior experience in managing budgets and numbers

Skills:


  • Proficiency in English, good knowledge of Hindi and/or any other Indian language
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, WordPress, good computer skills, and working proficiency in tally
  • Excellent team management and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a diverse group of people
  • Ability to take initiative to anticipate and resolve problems.
  • High accountability and responsibility
  • Willing to travel

  • This is a 2year contract, renewable on review and discussion

Pay:
₹700, ₹780,000.00 per year
