    Senior Software Engineer

    About the Role

    In this opportunity as Senior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design and Develop, Design software modules that will work together to produce desired product. Ensures completed modules provide all functionality described by application experts and meet performance guidelines.
  • Build software components upon design sessions with internal software users, customer-reported issues, and input from Business System Analysts, Marketing, Professional Services, and Support
  • Provide high-level analysis and design reviews to other members and groups within the department to avoid duplication of efforts in solving the same application problem within different products.
  • Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company's products.
  • Perform unit and performance testing of design as part of development cycle
  • Develop and re-factor existing products by building product enhancements and resolving product defects to meet customer issues
  • Performing PoC code development to prove out architectural designs and decisions
  • Assisting with build automation and automated testing
  • Providing technical expertise and peer code reviews to other team members
  • Write technical specifications, program documentation, and unit test plans for all work performed
  • Maintain solid relationships within R&D and with cross-functional peers and teams
  • Assist in Quality Assurance process and customer issue resolution
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to drive high-quality, on-time deliverables

    • About You
    You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if your background includes:

  • 6+ years professional experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting products in an enterprise or SaaS environment
  • Strong working knowledge with Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Implementation
  • Experience with advanced Open Source technologies such as Hibernate, Spring, and Java technologies required.
  • Java and J2EE development and analysis experience including SQL coding
  • Experience with full life cycle development: requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing
  • Experience with SOA, Web services, SOAP, REST, and are highly desired
  • Working knowledge of CI and particularly Gradle builds
  • Experience in developing in AWS infrastructure is strongly desired
  • Experience in UI frameworks and technologies (e.g. Angular, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) is desired
  • Experience with relational databases as well as exposure to NoSQL data stores is desirable.
  • Experience with agile/ iterative design and development methodologies
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
